Volunteering for people aged under 18 years
As a younger person in Medway, you could offer a range of skills and experiences that would bring a whole new dimension and energy to a voluntary role within a local organisation.
Under UK law people aged under-18 years are still defined as a ‘child’, and anyone who has involvement with them have important safeguarding requirements that they must adhere to. Therefore, some organisations have set age limits for their volunteers, so you should always check this with them.
There are several nationally recognised volunteering schemes that operate in Medway and support people aged under-18 years:
National Citizen Service
